Listing Accuracy Score

How the 0-100 score is calculated and what it means for a location.

Overview: The Listing Accuracy Score is a single number from 0 to 100 that measures the completeness and quality of a Google Business Profile location. It is designed to quickly show which locations need the most attention to improve their online presence and search visibility.

How It's Calculated: The score is calculated by checking all the key fields of a business profile (name, address, hours, phone, website, categories, photos, description, etc.). Each field is evaluated for two things: 1) Presence: Is the field filled out? and 2) Quality: Does the data meet our standards? (e.g., Is the phone number in a valid format? Is the website HTTPS-secure?)

Field Weighting: Not all fields are weighted equally. Critical information that customers rely on is worth more points. The most important fields for the score are: Address, Name/Title, Primary Category, Regular Hours, Latitude/Longitude (for maps accuracy), and Primary Phone.

Bonuses and Penalties: A score can get bonus points for high-quality data like a long description or 10+ business photos. It can be penalized for issues like having an insecure "http" website, being marked "Temporarily Closed", or missing primary contact information.

Critical Status: If a location is marked as PERMANENTLY_CLOSED, its score will automatically be 0, regardless of how complete the other fields are. This is the biggest factor.

Color Coding: Scores are color-coded throughout the application: Green (90-100) = Excellent, Lime (75-89) = Good, Amber (50-74) = Needs attention, Red (0-49) = Critical. On the Locations map, pins are color-coded by score for quick visual scanning.

Where to View Accuracy: Accuracy scores appear in three main places: 1) Locations List - shows a score column, 2) Location Detail - displays a warning banner at the top if score is below 90, with a list of missing fields to complete, 3) Location Accuracy Report - comprehensive report with filtering, statistics, and export options.

Improving Your Score: To improve a location's accuracy score, click the Edit Profile tab in any location detail, complete the fields listed in the accuracy warning banner, and ensure all data is correct and current. Focus first on critical fields (address, hours, categories, phone) for the biggest score improvements.

Bulk Improvements: Use the Location Accuracy Report to identify patterns in missing fields across multiple locations. The "Top Missing Fields" section shows the most common incomplete data, so you can prioritize bulk updates.
