What are Social Location Pages? Social Location Pages refer to your Facebook Business Pages and Instagram Business Accounts that are connected to ProfilePilot. These pages are the source of all posts and comments you manage in the Social Comments module.

Connecting Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pages:

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations

2. Find the Meta (Facebook) section

3. Click Connect or Reconnect button

4. You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorize ProfilePilot

5. Grant permissions for ProfilePilot to:

- Read your business pages

- Read posts and comments

- Post comments on your behalf

- Access page insights (if available)

6. Select which Facebook Pages to connect

7. If pages have linked Instagram Business Accounts, those are automatically included

Requirements:

• You must be an admin of the Facebook Page you want to connect

• Instagram accounts must be Business or Creator accounts (not personal)

• Instagram accounts must be linked to a Facebook Page

• Valid Meta access token (refreshed automatically by ProfilePilot)

What Gets Synced:

Once pages are connected, ProfilePilot automatically syncs:

• Posts: All published posts from your pages (text, images, links)

• Comments: All comments on your posts, including replies

• Engagement: Likes, reactions, shares, comment counts

• Insights: Impressions, reach, engagement rates (when available)

• Author Info: Commenter names, profile references

Managing Connected Pages:

View your connected pages in the Meta Locations section (Admin panel):

• Page name and platform (Facebook or Instagram)

• Page ID for reference

• Last sync timestamp

• Connection status (active or needs refresh)

Troubleshooting Connection Issues:

"No comments found": Your pages are connected but haven't synced yet. Click "Sync Comments" in the Comments dashboard.

"Token expired": Meta tokens expire periodically. Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect your Meta account.

"Missing pages": If a page doesn't appear, ensure:

- You're an admin of the page

- The page is published (not in draft mode)

- For Instagram: The account is connected to a Facebook Page

"Can't post replies": Check that ProfilePilot has permission to manage comments on your behalf. Reconnect to refresh permissions.

Data Storage:

• Posts and comments are stored in ProfilePilot's database for quick access

• Media (images) are referenced via URLs, not duplicated

• Engagement metrics update with each sync

• Historical data remains even if you disconnect a page

Privacy & Permissions:

• ProfilePilot only accesses pages you explicitly authorize

• Personal profile data is never accessed or stored

• Comments are public data already visible on your pages

• Replies posted through ProfilePilot appear as coming from your page (not ProfilePilot)

Multi-Location Strategy:

If you have multiple business locations:

• Create a separate Facebook Page for each location for local engagement

• Or use one page with location tagging for centralized presence

• Connect all pages to ProfilePilot for unified comment management

• Use location badges in comments to identify which page needs attention

Best Practices:

• Keep tokens fresh by reconnecting every 60 days or when prompted

• Sync comments at least daily during business hours

• Monitor all connected pages from the unified dashboard

• Use consistent branding across all location pages

• Train staff to respond through ProfilePilot rather than directly on Facebook

• Document which team members manage which locations

Integration with Other Features:

• Comments from these pages appear in the Social Comments dashboard

• Posts can be viewed in the Social Posts view with analytics

• Comment replies post back to the original Facebook/Instagram location

• Future: Bulk posting to multiple pages simultaneously
